Hi Douglas, it was nice to meet you today, I was just checking out your work… brilliant!  Don’t know too much of art history but do know Friedrich’s work, which I love, and can easily see the influence captured in your work.  Best of luck for Eduardo’s.

    Hi Dawn
Thanks for the lovely message and thanks for taking a look at my website. I studied 19th century Romanticism for BA and My Masters and love Friedrichs work and have viewed a few of his works in Berlin. Its always nice to see other inspired artists in Dundee and it was great seeing your work. It looked amazing on the wall. Do you know what papers we will be in. I was unfortunately rushed today and did not get to hang around long(bit upset at that) anyway keep up the good work and you are very welcome to pop in to the opening of the show on Saturday. The mixed show is on all month.
    Thanks again

Hi Douglas, you did a beautiful beach scene painting on canvas for my aunt Alice McGowan years ago when you had just qualified I believe! She has passed it on to me and I just love it. She paid £50 for it and I have no idea how much it would even be worth now that you are so acclaimed but its not going anywhere ߘ Jen xxx

Hi Jen, I thought I had replied to this ages ago but have just relised that it did not send.  I am really sorry as I remember feeling happy at your comment and proud that you like your painting.  I am so sorry for your loss and I am flattered that you think I am acclaimed. It would be great to see a picture of your peice. if it is quite small it might be worth between £300 to £400 if it was in a gallery but more importantly is that you like it. Dougie x
